New bonds between land, visitors and the local community.

In a time when rural areas are suffering from depopulation, we believe it's important to teach those hamlets to reinvent themselves by meeting the increasing demand for open air experiences that contribute to keeping a healthier lifestyle, closer to nature.

MECOBAT plans to develop a sustainable mobility network to promote a sustainable environmental culture and support the community's overall wellbeing.

This project will guarantee a safe and continuous trail that runs between villages, free from motorized vehicles.

One project, two goals

Our project is developed to create solid and long-lasting networks, and not merely for catching visitors.

A sustainable mobility trail for all

By creating a sustainable mobility network open for all, connecting the three hamlets of Moncalvo, Penango and Ponzano.

By developing spaces for social and recreational use, we want to transform places without a clear identity into a dynamic green trail focused on free time, environmental education, sport and culture.

Generative Territorial Ecosystem

Thanks to the creation of a Generative Territorial Ecosystem, managed with B2B and B2C models: with the aim of creating a new flow of users, visitors and consumers, these new spaces will allow us to enhance the territory in a tourist key thus encouraging and promoting the commercial offer of new or existing local shops.

Enrich the area with accessible, safe and sustainable trails by converting the former railway line and its stations into places for cultural and fitness events and activities.

Sustainable Mobility

Our method

This is how MECOBAT aims to improve the quality standards of public works and people's comfort by promoting the evolution of construction and infrastructure:

Boost

Boost the cultural offer and the accommodation facilities, restaurants, cellars and shops with local products or local craftsmanship to attract slow tourism and promote active services for citizens.

Create

Create an ecosystem made of various types of activities: eco-houses,
museums, libraries, B&Bs and farmhouses, restaurants, co-working spaces, art workshops, nurseries and elderly accommodation facilities.

Develop

Develop a bike-taxi concept for everyone's mobility, including the elderly, disabled and children. Develop an App for managing sustainable mobility at 360°: free for citizens (B2C) and paid for for communities and businesses (B2B).

Organize

Organize cultural, food & wine and sporting promotional activities and make them profit from the management, maintenance and development of the Ecosystem over time.
